Last week, we brought you information on how you could place Full Cover Bets at Bet365 Sport, how the stakes for these bets are calculated and we showed you how winnings on a bet are also worked out and whether these bets can be profitable forms of betting.
In last week’s article, we focused on the six main Full Cover Bets available at the site: Patent, Yankees, Super-Yankees, Heinz, Super Heinz and Goliath bets. Other Full Cover bets of more selections are permitted and called “Block” bets.
In this second part of the post, we will dive into two other popular types of multiple bets you can place: Full Cover With Singles bets, as well as Bet365’s Banker Bets.

Full Cover With Singles Bets
For bets involving three, four, five or six selections, you can opt for a slightly modified version of a Full Cover Bet, known as Full Cover Bets with Singles.
As the name implies, these bets cover all the same lines as a standard Full Cover Bet, but with the added benefit of backing each selection individually as a single bet.
Therefore, the total cost of placing these bets is the sum of all the lines in the Full Cover Bet, plus the number of individual selections on the bet slip.
For example, if you place a Full Cover Bet with Singles on five selections, it’s called a Lucky 31. This bet includes the 26 lines of a Four-Selection Yankee Bet, along with each of the five selections backed as singles, resulting in a total of 31 individual bets. This is shown in the image on the right, where we have placed our £1 unit stake in the Lucky 31 box.
The complete list of standard Full Cover Bets with Singles options is provided below:
Full Cover With Singles Bet Name | No of Selections | Number of Lines | What the bet consists of |
Patent | 3 | 7 | 3 Singles, 3 Doubles, 1 Treble |
Lucky 15 | 4 | 15 | 4 Singles, 6 Doubles, 4 Trebles, 1 Fourfold |
Lucky 31 | 5 | 31 | 5 Singles, 10 Doubles, 10 Trebles, 5 Fourfolds, 1 Fivefold |
Lucky 63 | 6 | 63 | 6 Singles, 15 Doubles, 20 Trebles, 15 Fourfolds, 6 Fivefolds, 1 Sixfold |
One important detail to keep in mind on Bet365 is that if you want to place a Full Cover With Singles bet on more than six selections, you’ll need to manually create it.
To do this, select the Full Cover bet that corresponds to your number of selections. For example, with an eight-selection bet, you would choose a Goliath. Additionally, look on the bet slip for the option to back each selection individually. This is usually the “Singles” option and you simply back all the bets at the same unit stake.
By betting on both the singles and the Full Cover lines, you’re essentially placing a Full Cover With Singles bet for any number of selections.
You are covering the same combinations as you would if this option were directly available on the bet slip. You can see an example of this in the screenshot on the right.
What’s different about a Full Cover With Singles bet?
The key difference between this type of bet and a standard Full Cover bet, such as a Yankee or Heinz bet, is that any of the above bets will offer you a return on a single selection winning, whereas on the other full cover bets, you need at least two selections to win.
However, it is important to note that the same general rule of thumb regarding returns with Full Cover with Singles bets still applies, in that the more selections that come in the more chance you have of generating a profit.
A single selection winning for you is unlikely, depending on the odds, to guarantee you a profit in most cases.
How is a Full Cover With Singles bet paid out?
Let’s say you place a Patent bet on three selections with a unit stake of £1. The bet therefore costs you £7 to place and you back the following as your individual selections for the bet:
- Liverpool to beat Arsenal at 2/1
- Manchester United to beat Leicester at Evens
- Newcastle United to beat Chelsea at 6/1
In a worst case scenario, if none of these bets win, then you lose £7.
However if only one selection wins, unlike a full cover bet, you would guarantee a return with a Patent bet.
However, if the one selection that won was the Manchester United v Leicester game, then you would only receive back £2, a loss of £5 overall on the bet.
However, if Newcastle was your one team to win, then you would receive back £7 (as the odds are much higher) and you would break even.
If two or more selections win, then your winnings will increase markedly. How much you would win back would depend on the odds of the two winning bets. You would win more for Liverpool and Newcastle winning, than you would for Man Utd and Liverpool or Man Utd and Newcastle.
And if all three bets come in as in the odds outlined above, then this would return a total of £95, a total profit of £88.
Banker Bets
If you want even more flexibility to back multiple selections then Banker Bets are another great option at Bet365 Sport.
These bets have to be selected by clicking on the bet selection button (which has Standard set as the default option) and then selecting “Bankers” from the drop down list.
The Benefits of Banker Betting at Bet365 Compared to Other Full Cover Bets
Banker betting at Bet365 offers a strategic edge that sets it apart from traditional Full Cover Bets.
While Full Cover Bets ensure all possible combinations of your selections are covered, banker betting allows you to designate one or more selections as “bankers” that must win for your bet to succeed.
This introduces a few key advantages over regular Full Cover Bets:
- Increased Control and Flexibility: Banker betting lets you focus on your strongest selections, making it easier to manage risk. Unlike Full Cover Bets, where every outcome is treated equally, you can prioritize selections you feel most confident about, reducing the total number of combinations required for a payout.
- Lower Cost, Higher Potential Return: With banker bets, you’re able to reduce the number of overall lines in your wager. Since the banker must win, fewer combinations are needed, meaning a lower cost for the bet. At the same time, by increasing the odds of a payout when your banker(s) hit, it can yield higher potential returns compared to placing a more expensive Full Cover Bet.
- Strategic Play for Long-Term Bettors: For experienced bettors, banker betting adds a strategic element. You can build more structured and purposeful bets, combining high-confidence bankers with riskier selections, maximizing the return potential without having to wager on every possible outcome like with Full Cover Bets.
- Versatility Across Bet Types: Banker bets are available across various multiple bet types at Bet365, allowing you to apply the strategy on a range of sports and markets. This versatility gives an edge to those looking for more personalized betting strategies compared to the one-size-fits-all approach of standard Full Cover Bets.
By using banker betting at Bet365, you can create a more calculated and cost-effective approach, while still benefiting from the flexibility of combining multiple selections.
