Changes Made To Bet365’s Popular Jackpot Sit & Go Challenge

Earlier on this year, we brought you news of how you could participate in Bet365 Poker’s hugely popular Jackpot Sit & Go Challenges. Since then however, Bet365 have slightly changed their offer Jackpot Sit & Goin a couple of ways.

In this article, we’ll explore what these changes are and what they mean for fans of this very popular year-round challenge from Bet365 Poker.

Of course, you’ll need to be a Bet365 customer to play so why not claim your Bet365 no deposit bonus by clicking on the link and signing up today to enjoy some of the best quality poker you can find online.

Change 1: The Dirty Dozen is no more

The first big change to the Jackpot Sit & Go Challenge framework is that the cheaper of the original four games, the Dirty Dozen, has now been removed from the promotion entirely.

No reason for this was given although it is fair to assume that either one of two reasons forced Bet365 into making this change. Either the game was not too popular with customers and nobody wanted to try the promotion or, perhaps more likely, Bet365 found that too many people were achieving the Jackpot requirement and the company found it wasn’t profitable to run this particular jackpot any longer.

This is a bit of a disappointment to fans of lower stakes gaming as it does mean that the cheapest Jackpot Sit & Go game now available costs €5 to enter each time.

Change 2: The jackpots for the Rio, Maui and Fort Knox games are now static, not progressive

The next big change is that for the three remaining games part of the promotion, Maui, Rio and Fort Knox, the jackpot in each game has changed from an amount that increased with every Jackpot Sit & Goweek that it was not won, to a static amount each time.

Prior to the changes, each of these jackpots had a progressive element in that each week the jackpot wasn’t won, Bet365 would add an amount of money to these jackpots to make them larger and thus more appealing to win.

However, the company have now stopped that and have instead made the jackpot for each game a static amount which remains the same regardless of how many weeks have passed since the last win.

The jackpots available in each game now were the original seeding amounts for each of the games before the changes to the promotion:

  • Maui – €10,000
  • Rio – €20,000
  • Fort Knox – €35,000

So how does each new Jackpot Sit & Go promotion work?

The good news is that other than the changes outlined above, the three remaining Jackpot Sit & Go Challenge games remain pretty much unaltered. We have given you a brief rundown of the key Jackpot Sit & Go Challengeelements of each of the remaining three games including the cost to enter, how many games you need to win to trigger the bonus, the time limit you have to win the games and of course, how much you’ll win as the jackpot.

Jackpot Sit & Go Challenge – Maui

  • Number of games you need to win consecutively as part of the challenge – 5
  • Time Limit to complete the challenge – 14 days from your first game win
  • Cost to enter each Maui Sit & Go game – €5
  • Number of players at the table – 10 including the player
  • Jackpot if achieved – €10,000

Jackpot Sit & Go Challenge – Rio

  • Number of games you need to win consecutively as part of the challenge – 6
  • Time Limit to complete the challenge – 14 days from your first game win
  • Cost to enter each Maui Sit & Go game – €20
  • Number of players at the table – 6 including the player
  • Jackpot if achieved – €20,000

Jackpot Sit & Go Challenge – Fort Knox

  • Number of games you need to win consecutively as part of the challenge – 6
  • Time Limit to complete the challenge – 14 days from your first game win
  • Cost to enter each Maui Sit & Go game – €40
  • Number of players at the table – 6 including the player
  • Jackpot if achieved – €35,000

Don’t forget the prize pool in each game

It is worth remembering that players at the table of every Jackpot Sit & Go game are not just playing towards winning the table and claiming the jackpot. Each table also has its own prize pool Jackpot Sit & Go CHallengeto be won based on the amount of money players have contributed to the pot.

For example, in the Maui Sit & Go Challenge, each game you win will see you earn €21 which means that if you win five Maui events in a row you would win five times this amount, on top of your jackpot payment.

It’s the same process for the Rio and Fort Knox games, although with bigger buy ins and a bigger jackpot, the amount you can win in each of the games is higher. For each Fort Knox game you win, for example, you earn €102.

Remember too, prizes are paid out in each competition to the top two or three players at the table, which means even if you finish second or third in a competition and scupper your chances of the jackpot, you will still turn a profit based on what your original buy in was.

Overall the changes made to the Jackpot Sit & Go games at Bet365 Poker are not that great although lower stakes players will be hit hardest by the decision to remove the Dirty Dozen Jackpot game from the promotion.

The good news for Fort Knox challenge players is that the Jackpot has not been won since the new rules come into place, and thus the old progressive fund jackpot still can be won for one final time. Currently that stands at €153,000 although once won, this will revert back to €35,000 for the remainder of the promotion.

So if you are looking for some enjoyable, high quality poker action at Bet365, then don’t forget to look out the Jackpot Sit & Go games to see if you can win your way to a fantastic jackpot bonus.
