This may seem that it is a poorer deal than the original Steps tournament from last year but there is a significant difference in the program. The new Steps tournament allows the player to select from 4 or 6-seat tables and in addition, although there is an extra step in the process and a slightly smaller payout, the eventual top prize is certainly more flexible.
While the original prize of a tournament token for the weekly $200,000 Sunday Special was worth slightly more, players had to use that token on the next Sunday Special or it would be forfeited. With this new offer, players can win the €150 Tournament Token and then use this token on any tournament valued at the same level or below.
This therefore gives the player a far greater degree of flexibility in deciding which tournament they want to use their prize on. It also means they don’t have to use their token at a set time, so they can save it and use it in a tournament that they have the time to play in.
It is worth pointing out here that players do not need to start at Step 1 to earn the right to the prize at the end of Step 8. Players can buy into the Steps Tournament at any level, although the price to enter does increase the higher up the steps that you buy into the event.
The format of the tournament is that at each Step a player (or players) will win a tournament token to the next step level if they finish in the top places for their choice of event. Other prizes are also given out to players finishing down the pecking order, such as tournament tokens giving the player another chance at the current level, or a small cash prize.

Sky Poker’s app now includes tournament poker
Big news for mobile poker fans, especially those who are fans of Sky Poker and who have been patiently waiting for all the Sky Poker variants to be made available on the Sky Poker app, well now your wishes have been granted.
