It is a very busy week of sport to enjoy across the UK and around the world this week. In the UK, we have seen the Premier League Darts get underway on Monday, as well as the Champions League quarterfinals first leg ties played on Tuesday and Wednesday night.

However, there are more big sporting events taking place from Thursday. Let’s kick off our series of tips with the first Major of the golfing calendar in 2021, The Masters at Augusta National.

The Masters – Preview and Tips

This Thursday, after the Champions Dinner has been held the night before, 88 of the best golfers inGolf betting UK promos Sky Bet 365 the world will take to the fairways of Augusta National to try and become the 2021 Masters Champion. Dustin Johnson is the holder of the title after winning the postponed event last year in November.

However, back to its usual April date, this means that Augusta won’t be quite so easy for golfers as last time, when wet greens made attacking flags easier for players. This time around, drier conditions means that Augusta will be back to its tricky and sometimes brutal best.

The strength of the field is legendary at The Masters, but because it is limited to 88 golfers, picking a winner may not be quite so tough as in some other events that can have almost twice as many golfers competing.

That said, it is still an incredibly strong and diverse field, with Dustin Johnson the 9/1 favourite at the moment, but in truth any golfer rated at odds of 100/1 or less could land the win if they can string together four quality rounds on the course and limit their mistakes.

Having gone through the field, I have two suggestions for the Masters. I think the in-form Lee Westwood is in makes him a fantastic option as an each way bet at 40/1. The Englishman has been contending in a number of big events in the US over the last month or so and he has a very good record at Augusta over the length of his career, playing well here even when his form in other events wasn’t as strong.

For a bet to win the event however, I think Bryson DeChambeau (11/1) is the smart pick, The controversial American star tried to overpower Augusta back in November and had some success but too often paid the penalty for going out of position. I think he will benefit greatly from that experience and has the game and form to be in amongst the thick of it come Sunday afternoon and as such, I think he is a very solid option at those odds.

Europa League Quarterfinals 1st Leg – Preview and Tips

After the 1st leg of the Champions League quarterfinals on Tuesday and Wednesday night, attention turns to the Europa League where there are four games kicking off at 8pm in the evening across Europe.

The four games are:

  • Ajax v AS Roma
  • Arsenal v Slavia Prague
  • Dinamo Zagreb v Villarreal
  • Granada v Manchester United

Looking at the games, rather than giving you an individual tip for each one, I have decided to put them together into an accumulator bet with the following selections:

  • Ajax v AS Roma – Home Win
  • Arsenal v Slavia Prague – Away Win
  • Dinamo Zagreb v Villarreal – Draw
  • Granada v Manchester United – Away Win

Back this fourfold bet selection with bet365 and you will receive odds of 59.99/1 on the bet.

Grand National – Preview And Tips

This year’s Grand National could have been a spectacular race with Tiger Roll going for immortality and joining Red Rum as potentially the only three-time winner of the race. However, his absence and the fact that a number of other big-name horses such as Santini, Ajas and Easysland will not compete has taken the gloss of the race this year a little.

That doesn’t mean that this year’s race won’t be as competitive. Cloth Cap is the current 4/1 favourite with bet365 Sport at the moment and the Jonjo O’Neill trained horse, likely to be ridden by Tom Scudamore, has been well-backed in the antepost markets to a very short price for the National.

Its owner, Trevor Hemmings, is a three-time winner of the race with Hedgehunter, Ballabriggs and Many Clouds over the years and the horse was named after the headwear that Hemmings likes to don at horse racing meetings throughout the year.

Handicapped at 14lb below its official mark due to a fine win at Kelso, Cloth Cap is the horse that has attracted lots of betting in recent weeks but there are some other options to consider.

Of those, I think Kimberlite Candy (12/1) is the one that stands out. The horse has twice got round the Aintree fences before, finishing second in the 2019 and 2020 Bechers Chase, so stamina and the fences won’t be an issue. The form looks good and at those odds, I feel that this is the horse to back, especially if you are an each way punter, for the big race.

Others to consider in the race are: Burrows Saint (8/1), Any Second Now (10/1), Kimberlite Candy (12/1), Minella Times (12/1), Secret Reprieve (14/1), Magic Of Light (16/1) and Discorama (18/1).
