Challenge Channing And Eliminate Him At Sky Poker To Win A Bounty

A little while ago now, Sky Poker appointed respected Poker player and journalist Neil Channing as the Sky Poker Ambassador. His role has been to promote the site in a range of ways and challenge-channing-2provide insight both on TV and also on the Sky Poker Forum on how players can improve. It is a role that Neil has performed well and he is now a regular face on Sky Poker TV shows.

However, it is no surprise to learn that Neil’s first love is playing the game and now he is getting back to that. As Sky Poker Ambassador, Neil will be playing in a number of top Sky Poker Multi Table Tournaments over the coming weeks and if you enter and are fortunate enough to beat him and eliminate him from the tournament, then you could earn yourself a special prize.

It is all part of the Sky Poker promotion Challenge Channing which will see a wide range of Sky Poker customers queuing up to be the player that takes down the Ambassador.

Remember though, you do need to be a Sky Poker customer to take on Neil in a tournament, but joining is easy. Sign up today by clicking on the following link to claim your £10 Sky Poker no deposit bonus to get you started on your journey.

What is Challenge Channing?

Challenge Channing is Sky Poker’s promotion that not only gets Neil’s name out in the Sky Poker world, but also allows him to indulge his first love of playing poker against others. To do this, Neil will participate in a number of Sky Poker Multi Table Tournaments taking place throughout the year and in these events, regardless of whether they are a Bounty Hunter event or not, Neil will have a special Bounty placed on his head.

The size of the Bounty depends on the size of the buy in of the event in which he is playing. In order to give all Sky Poker customers a chance to play at the tables with Neil, he will enter a number of different events of different buy in levels, ranging from the more expensive tournaments, right down to the cheap to enter events that anybody can play in.

The aim of the tournament is to win it of course, or at least finish in the cash out positions, but as an added bonus, if you play in a tournament with Neil and find yourself at his table (his Sky Poker alias is NChanning) and you manage to eliminate him from the event, then you will claim the bounty on his head regardless of where you finish in the tournament.

On which events is Challenge Channing in operation on?

Sky Poker don’t publish a very long schedule of events too far in advance as they are not sure what Neil’s schedule will be a month or so down the line, however they do tend to update the promotion at the start of each month outlining which tournaments he will be playing in over the coming few weeks.

For the month of November, Neil will be competing in the Challenge Channing promotion in the following events on Sky Poker:

  • Sunday 13th November – £15,000 Sunday Major  (£100 Bounty) – Starts 8pm
  • Friday 18th November – The Orfordable Deepstack (£25 Bounty) – Starts 7.15pm
  • Sunday 20th November – £15,000 Sunday Major (£100 Bounty) – Starts 8pm
  • Friday 25th November – £8,000 Avenger Main Event (£50 Bounty) – Starts 8pm

Additional events throughout December and into January will be revealed over the coming weeks on Sky Poker.

If you are lucky enough to claim the bounty on Neil’s head in any of the above tournaments, then you will receive your cash reward by 6pm the following working day.

Can we chat to Neil at the tables?

Of course, it can be exciting for poker players to have someone relatively famous playing at the same table at them and in his role as Sky Ambassador, Neil is happy to chat to Sky Poker players challenge-channingusing the chat facility at the tables.

Indeed, Sky Poker actively encourage players to converse with Neil stating that “he’s super chatty, so make sure you strike up a convo in the chat box and ask lots of questions.”

However, it is worth bearing in mind that you are playing in a tournament, so it may be best to stick to simpler questions, rather than ones that would involve Neil giving a long, complicated answer to!  He may be able to tell you what his favourite Poker hand is, or his top poker professional, but the chances are he won’t be able to go through that hand you lost at the tables a few weeks ago to explain what you should have done at each stage of the process.

Can I follow Neil on social media?

As well as having a presence at the tables on Sky Poker, Neil does also have extensive followings on various types of social media. In the Sky Poker Forum, there is a Neil Channing Forum thread where you can contact him and join in with the conversation.

Neil also has his own blogs on Sky Poker that detail some of his experiences both in the world of competitive offline poker, such as the World Series of Poker 2016 (which by all accounts, didn’t go too well!) as well as his adventures in online poker, which also includes running an online poker site.

If you like Neil’s views and insights, then you can also tune in to his personal Twitter feed @SenseiChanning which is a mixture of Poker items and general items that Neil decides to Tweet.

You can challenge Neil twice over the coming weekend in the Orfordable Deep Stack event, starting at 7.15pm on Friday night, inspired by Neil’s Sky Poker co-presenter Richard Orford, and you can also try your luck in the £15,000 Sunday Major which Neill will be competing on this Sunday evening, cards in the air from 8pm.
