This year’s Tour de France starts on 1 July.
Where does the Tour de France start this year?
The 2023 Tour de France kicks off in Bilbao, Spain. It then continues on to Vitoria-Gasteiz, San-Sébastien and Amorebieta-Etxano. This takes in the whole of the first two stages, however the third stage actually finishes up in Bayonne, which is a Basque city that sits across the French border.
What stage has the longest distance in Tour de France 2023?
Distance-wise, the longest stage is Stage 2. It’s 209 km of hilly Spanish cycling. We hope those cyclists have the stamina for it!
When are the rest days?
There are two rest days in the 2023 Tour de France. The first one happens after stage 9, a mountainous stage. So the cyclists will need their rest on Monday, 10 July. The next break comes a week later, on Monday, 17 July. This will be after stage 15, which is another one up in the mountains.
When are the time trials for Tour de France 2023?
The time trials are stage 16 of the race, taking place on Tuesday, 18 July.
